Through September, the market downturn was rather orderly. There were a lot
of losers this year, but there were some winners too. However, since the first
of October there has been a run on the stock market that rivals what we saw in
1987.

are brown and the sky is grey.” Instead of California Dreamin’,
investors are longing for a nice recovery for stocks because

2008 – First Quarter Report
After many years of easy credit, the world has suddenly changed.
While irresponsible lending to homeowners has grabbed the headlines
(hundreds of billions in losses will do that), easy money was
prevalent throughout the financial system. Look for increased
losses from a variety of sources including credit cards, home
equity lines, car loans and leveraged buyout loans.
