Clients can access the site with a system of lesser quality, but the service will be extremely slow and the site may simply perform poorly. As with all websites, variables such as Internet traffic loads and usage patterns affect speed and performance of the site.
Internet Browser
To access your account online, your browser should be one of the following:
- Microsoft Internet Explorer version 4 or later (Macintosh users 5.0 or later), including the Authenticode update. Note: One ActiveX control will be downloaded and installed on your system to provide enhanced charting under Internet Explorer.
- Netscape Communicator version 4 or later.
- AOL version 4 or later.
The latest versions of other browsers may also work, but this is not guaranteed by . Macintosh users require browser functionality similar to the Windows version.
The browser developers (i.e., Netscape or Microsoft) may release updates or patches to upgrade a browser's capability, performance, or security. These vendors may also provide recommendations for version releases that will optimize performance.
| Note: Each of the recommended browsers is available with either 40- (export version) or 128-bit data-encryption support (U.S. only). We recommend the 128-bit version for added security. |
The browser must support "cookies," and this feature must be enabled to maintain secure control of your data while you access your account online. Non-graphics (text-only) browsers are not supported by the application.
To enable the cookie feature, Internet Explorer Version 4 users please follow the instructions below:
1) Select "Internet Options..." from the "View" menu.
2) Click on the "Advanced" tab along the top of the "Internet Options" dialogue box.

4) Last, click the "Apply" button, then the "OK" button, and your browser is ready to read the Access Online site.
